The most significant changes for the Tacoma in 2021 are the addition of two new trims to the series. This year, the Tacoma is produced in two new editions called the Trail Special Edition and the Nightshade. The Trail Special Edition draws inspiration from the TR5. It is now the most rugged and off-road-ready Tacoma that you can get. The Trail Special Edition is offered in two drivetrains and a double-cab body. The Nightshade features blacked-out exterior accents for a unique appearance. Other than the two new trims, the 2021 Tacoma carries over with mostly the same amenities found in 2020.
